What path did you pursue after IGSS and New Trier?
I studied International and Intercultural Studies, and Media Studies at Pitzer College, one of the Claremont Colleges in southern California. With a regional focus in South Asia, I studied abroad in Nepal, where I lived with a host family in the Kathmandu Valley.
What are your future academic and/or professional plans?
After graduation, I moved to New York City where I interned at the Center for Talent Innovation, a think tank for talent diversity that focuses on driving inclusion in the workplace. Currently, I work as the Inclusion & Diversity Coordinator at Estee Lauder Companies, where I liaise over 20 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) worldwide and coordinate inclusion and diversity projects, events and initiatives across our global regions.
How did your time in IGSS impact you as a learner and person?
I am grateful for IGSS in so many ways. My choice to attend Pitzer College was an extension of the progressive education I received in IGSS. The opportunity to be in a classroom with such supportive teachers who encouraged me to pursue my passions, gave me the confidence to take risks and confront challenges head-on. I looked forward to going to class each day and developed an appreciation for the IGSS community.
