New Trier Dance Division presents biennial Menz Dance performance

The Dance Division at New Trier High School is proud to present Menz Concert , a raucous, energetic evening of dance, music, nonsense, and more dance on Thursday, April 26 in the Northfield Campus Cornog Auditorium. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for $5 at the door or online at .

Menz Concert is a biennial event that showcases the talents of Dance Division Coordinator Christopher Rutt's Menz Dance class. The yearlong course is designed specially to meet the needs of male dance students through modern technique, improvisation, composition, and performance that includes ballet, jazz, and world dance forms.

To prepare for the upcoming show, students choreographed original dances, wrote skits, and filmed videos. The program will also feature two musical numbers: "Seize the Day" from Newsies , staged by Toby Nicholson, a retired New Trier teacher and Winnetka icon, and "Greased Lighting" from Grease , choreographed by Rutt.
