● Jim Davis - Strength & Conditioning Coordinator
B.A. Knox College
M.A. Northwestern University

Coach Davis has had the privilege of working with thousands of New Trier students over the years, and the best part of his job is witnessing personal and team transformation from freshman to senior year. It the goal of Coach Davis and his staff to provide a safe atmosphere which allows all New Trier students an opportunity to maximize their abilities and become the best possible version of themselves.

Professional Football: Davis played for the Chicago Slaughter and the Bloomington Extreme of the Indoor Football League (IFL) before traveling to Europe to compete in the European Federation of American Football (EFAF), where he won three National Championships (two in Ireland, one in Spain), was named All-Ireland twice and All-Spain once. In 2008, Davis was named Ireland's National Player of the Year.
Powerlifting: Competing with the Natural Athlete Strength Association, Davis was an Illinois State Champion in the Junior Division for two weight classes (242, 275), and was ranked as high as #35 in the nation.
College: A two-time team Captain at Knox College, Davis started a school record 40 consecutive games. The NSCA All-American and All-Midwest Conference performer was also the recipient of the Harland Knosher Scholarship and Dean Trevor Memorial Award, both given in recognition of leadership, academic achievement, and competitive excellence.
High School: As a Captain of the New Trier football team, Davis was as All-Conference and All-Area performer, received the Lee Getschow Lineman of the Year Award, and was a member of the Central Suburban South championship team.

● Kirk Becker
B.A. Lake Forest College

Coach Becker has been a member of the Strength & Conditioning Staff for three years and has experience with every level of high school athletics training. He is also a football coach and works in the Special Education Department at New Trier.

College: Played four years on the offensive line for Lake Forest College. After college Kirk participated in two different Volunteer Programs over a span of a year and a half; Nevada Conservation Corps and the National Civilian Community Corps, both having a number of different leadership roles. I then coached for my alma mater Princeton High School for one year. I am presently in my fourth year of coaching football at New Trier High School.
High School: Kirk was an All-State offensive lineman for Princeton High School.

● David Jewell
B.A. Knox College

Coach Jewell is entering his second year with the Strength & Conditioning Staff. He has coached baseball for the Schaumberg Seminoles and will begin coaching with the Wilmette Waves baseball club this summer. During the days, Coach Jewell works in the Special Education Department at New Trier.

College: Captain of the Knox baseball team as a senior, Coach Jewell was a four year letter winner in both football and baseball.
High School: Coach Jewell was a three sport standout (football, basketball, baseball) at Richmond Burton High School and a Captain of the baseball team his senior year.

● Brittany Benson
B.A. Denison University
M.A. Northwestern University
Coach Benson is in her first year with the Strength & Conditioning Staff. She is also a field hockey coach and works in the Special Education Department.

College: Coach Benson is one of Denison University's most accomplished athletes. A three time field hockey Captain, Benson started a school record 79 consecutive games in goal for the Big Red. In 2011 she was named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year after leading all of DIII field hockey in shutouts-per-game, and leading her team to a DIII NCAA Sweet 16 tournament appearance. Participated in the 2012 NCAA DIII All-Star game and was named to the NCAC All-Decade Team in 2013.
High School: At New Trier, Benson was a two-time All-State field hockey player and a 2007 Field Hockey State Champion, and made one final-four appearance downstate with the 2008 Trevian Softball team.

● Stephen Bora
B.A. Knox College

Coach Bora has been working the New Trier Strength & Conditioning Summer Camp for the past four years. He is an assistant wrestling coach at New Trier and works in the Special Education Department.

College: As a senior, Steve was named Captain of the football team at Knox College, where he earned 5 Varsity letters (4 in football, 1 in wrestling). In 2013, Steve was the Northern Wrestling Association conference champion in the 285lb division.
High School: At New Trier, Steve was Captain of the wrestling team, a 2010 All-State finisher in the 285lb division, and an H.M. All-Conference Defensive Lineman for the football team.

● Alex Nadolna
B.A. Knox College

Coach Nadolna has been working the New Trier Strength & Conditioning Summer Camp for the past four years, and in 2015, began an internship with the Strength Staff at Loyola University Chicago.

College: Going into his senior year, Coach Nadolna received the Andrew Gibbons Award for leadership, commitment to teammates, and academic excellence through Spring Football. He now competes in strength/endurance events, most recently the Hood to Coast Relay, and has completed numerous Tough Mudder competitions.
High School: Four year football player and track athlete at New Trier High School.
