The New Trier High School Performing Arts Division presents "Laugh Out Loud (cry quietly)" by Stacie Lents produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
The freshman-sophomore show begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, March 15-16; 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 17; and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18 in the Cornog Auditorium at the Northfield Campus, 7 Happ Road.
"Laugh Out Loud (cry quietly)" is a comedy about online dating. It is an engaging exploration of love, in which a group of young adults learn what they need in a partner by stumbling through a series of dates. This play offers insight and hope for anyone looking for "the one" in the modern world.
"Working on this show has been an absolute joy," Director Ryan Dunn said. "The topic of online dating is treated with some very funny and some genuinely touching moments, and the freshmen and sophomores have handled the subject with the utmost maturity. Their sense of comedic timing and their dedication to the show have both impressed and excited me, and I can't wait to show this production to a live audience. I think it's going to be a blast."
Tickets are available at the door for $8 or at www.newtrier.k12.il.us/performingarts.
