  • Participate in the NTPA Parent Book Group, formed this year as another means of promoting connection between parents and the school. Parents of freshmen and sophomores are invited to read How to Raise an Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haims, former dean of freshmen and undergraduate advising at Stanford University. Group discussions for parents, faculty, and staff will be held later this school year; we will keep you updated.

Important Reminders and Information

  • NT Social Service: Volunteering and Leadership Opportunities


    At the Freshman Parent Coffee on February 22, the NTPA Class of 2020 Board hosted the faculty sponsors of NT Social Service, Spiro Bolos and Dan Lawler. They described NT's Social Service program, which offers highly flexible volunteering options for students as well as opportunities to join the board and take a leadership role. Board members meet daily during 9th period; this takes the place of an elective in the student's schedule.   • Did You Know?

    New Trier offers a student tutoring program. Students can sign up for a session with a student tutor, and they can also volunteer to tutor other students. Click here for details.

    New Trier's Post-High School Counseling Office offers an optional newsletter for parents of sophomores. The newsletter is sent via email approximately six times during the year.
