Tackle the Turf
As work is set to begin in early summer, the New Trier Booster Club is excited to begin tackling our campaign to raise $1,000,000 for the installation of synthetic turf to the stadium and the adjacent lighted practice field. Synthetic turf will allow the district to increase the use of the stadium from about 250 hours a year – all in the spring and fall – to more than 2,000 hours a year, with activities scheduled throughout the summer as well. Sports such as field hockey and lacrosse, historically not scheduled much in the stadium, will have greater access. Kinetic Wellness classes, as well as Intramural sports, will be able to use the stadium for the first time.
