  • Trevs bring home the state championship
    As the last seconds ticked off the clock, New Trier assistant coach Kristen Murray said, "This has been a special season," and she was right. As the buzzer sounded, the Trevians raced on the field to celebrate their first IHSA state championship with a 12-4 win over a tough Hinsdale Central team. It was New Trier's first state title until 2008, and what might considered one of the best played games ever by a New Trier girls lacrosse team. (Click on title to read more)
  • New Trier holds off GBS to advance to state final
    The Trevians led 13-6 with 18:33 left in the game, but a determined Glenbrook South team fought back to tie the game 14-14 with 4:43 left. New Trier was able to win the draw and Lucy Murray scored with 2:14 left to send the Trevians to the state title game on Saturday with a 15-14 win. (Click on title to read more)
  • Balanced offense and pressure D send Trevs to state
    New Trier scored seven unanswered goals to end the first half and lead 13-2, en route to a 18-4 win in the IHSA Super-Sectional over St. Ignatius to advance to the IHSA state final four this weekend. (Click on title to read more)
  • Trevs defeat Loyola in thrilling finish
    New Trier jumped out to a 4-0 lead and was in control most the game, but after leading 11-5, Loyola scored six unanswered goals to tie the game with 1:48 left. The Ramblers won the draw, but Kate Burnham made her seventh gave of the game on a fast break, and the Trevs came down on offense and junior Claudia Shevitz drove and ripped a shot to give the Trevians the lead with :41 seconds on the clock. Charley Meier won the biggest draw of the game and Lucy Murray put one in to finish the scoring and give New Trier a sectional championship with a 13-11 win. (Click on title to read more)
