With the score 10-4 and 23:36 on the clock, the lights and scoreboard went out and forced Evanston to come back on Friday to finish the game. New Trier controlled the ball and held off the Kits for a 16-6 win.
Evanston and New Trier traded goals early, and the Wildkits tied the game 3-3 at 16:02. The Trevs made a few adjustments on the draw and on defense and went on a six goal run and never looked back. Evanston's Madeline O'Malley was tough on the draw, but Charley Meier, Katie Busch, Olivia Tragos and Courtney Kaskey combined to control the ball and enable New Trier to control the game and prevent a comeback. Madison Smith, Claudia Shevitz and Meier each had 2 of the 10 turnovers the Trevs forced. Kaskey and Sophie King each had 3 goals, and King added 3 assists.
