The Trevians defeated Deerfield 18-3 behind great an aggressive defensive effort all over the field, forcing 11 turnovers against the Warriors.
New Trier jumped out to an early lead, but McKenna Vranicar helped the Warrios keep it close, as it was 3-1 at 17:54. But an aggressive ride and great pressure on transition helped the Trevs keep control of the ball, as junior Olivia Zaban had two caused turnovers and New Trier scored eight unanswered goals. The Trevs led 12-2 at half.
Claudia Shevitz led the attack with 4 goals and 2 assists. Sophia King also had four goals and added an assist. Lucy Murray, Sophie Randle, Zaban and Courtney Kaskey all had 2 goals. Emma Merk and Charley Meier each scored also. Clare Mulhern led the team with 5 ground balls.
