New Trier High School has a long tradition of maintaining a safe and clean environment for its students and staff. Our facility is regulated and visited frequently by Regional Office of Education ant the Cook County Board of Health.
The District does not utilize pesticide sprays within its facilities. At certain times during the year of an as needed basis we do apply pesticides and herbicides as part of the maintenance of our physical education and athletic fields. Regular spraying of pesticides and herbicides is not part of our procedures. When applications are required on our grounds those conducting that work are state certified and all activities occur during times when students and staff are not present.
Any parent, guardian, student or staff member wishing to receive written notification of any pesticide or herbicide application should contact Steve Linke , Facilities Manager Winnetka or Dave Conway , Director of Physical Plant Services.
